Betty L. Barr

Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00pm, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Sunday, December 28, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

She was born Saturday, June 5, 1943 in Simpson County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Albert Dewey Runnels and Rachel Runnels.

Mrs. Barr was a member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl. She retired after thirty years of service with the State of Mississippi, twenty-six of those as director of payroll for the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher E. Barr.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-two years, Billy G. Barr; son, Jason T. Barr and wife Delaine A. Barr; grandchildren, Justin Barr, Cody Barr, Sydnie L. Barr and Kendra R. Barr; and daughter-in-law, Ann Elaine Barr.
