Billie Rhea Mathews

Billie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was rooted in love for her family. She found great joy in quilting and sewing, creating beautiful handmade pieces that will serve as lasting reminders of her patience, creativity, and love. Through every stitch, she expressed care for those around her — gifts made not just with skill, but with heart.

Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her children, Ronald Gwaine Mathews and Kim Marie Mathews. She poured her heart into her family, creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and unwavering support. She was a proud grandmother to Brittany Saylor, Brishen Mathews, Emilia Simmons and Evan Simmons and a cherished great-grandmother to Maizee Saylor, Marlee Saylor, and Ella Mathews. Each of them carried a special place in her heart, and she delighted in watching her family grow through the generations.

Billie leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Ronald Gwaine Mathews and Kim Marie Mathews; grandchildren, Brittany Saylor, Brishen Mathews, Emilia Simmons and Evan Simmons; great grandchildren, Maizee Saylor, Marlee Saylor, and Ella Mathews; beloved brother, Johnny Bridges; along with extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Billie will be remembered for her strength, her gentle spirit, and her deep devotion to her family. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her legacy is one of family, warmth, and enduring love.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
