Billy William Whittington, Sr., age 79, of Florence, passed peacefully from this earth on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was born on June 22, 1945, in Liberty, Mississippi, to T.J. and Etta Whittington. He is survived by sisters, Jeanette Wingate, and Elsie Haygood; brother, Tracy Bishoff; sons, Billy W. Whittington, Jr. and wife Tonya, and Tommy Whittington and wife Maryann; grandchildren, Austin Whittington (Eden), Zachary Whittington (Tara), Dakota Barrett (Karra), Austin Barrett (Jordan), and Kayla Whittington; and great-grandchildren, Oaklynn Raine, Haven Grace, and Stella Faye.
Mr. Whittington served in Law Enforcement for Madison County for many years. He has lived in Rankin County for more than 40 years where he has been a business owner and worked with many wrecker services around the metropolitan area.
There will be no services at this time. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
