Bobbie N. Johns

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm, Monday, April 24, 2017, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Johns was an arts teacher for the Pearl School System, where she also served as a substitute teacher in the latter years of her career. A natural artist with no formal training, she enjoyed working in different mediums, and her creations were often displayed for gallery showings at the Pearl and Brandon Libraries. She was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pearl. Her hobbies included church functions, entertaining, and book club and other activities with the Pearl Library.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James A. Johns, in December 2016.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Gregg Johns, and his wife, Dr. Martha Murray Johns; and grandson, Blake Johns.
