C. E. "Pete" Nash

Visitation will be held 11:00am-1:00pm, Monday, February 17, 2014 at Skyway Hills Baptist Church in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm in the church sanctuary with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Pete was born April 5, 1929 in Amory, Mississippi, a son of the late Alvin David Nash and Madie Meek Nash.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean War, and a member of First Baptist Church of Morton. He retired in 1986 from the Mississippi Employment Security Commission after 28 years of service. A skilled woodworking craftsman, he enjoyed creating unique gifts for his family and many friends.

Pete was preceded in death by his wife, June E. Nash, son, Chris Nash and brother, Charles Nash.

Survivors include sons, Michael Nash and wife Jane, and Kelly Nash and wife Elizabeth; brother, Rev. Dudley Nash; grandchildren, Erin Nash Nave and husband Michael, Patrick Nash, Benji Nash and wife Andrea and Misty Nash; and great-grandchildren, Emmarie Nave, Henry Nave, Tyler Nash and Daisy Nash.
