Carlene Runnels Campbell

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Private interment services will be held.

Carlene was born September 22, 1939. She grew up in the Mendenhall area, later settling in Pearl where she raised her children and was a lifelong resident.

She was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Virgie Runnels; sister, Laverne Haynes; brothers, George Earl Runnels, and Jerry Runnels; husband, Al Campbell; son, Bob Buie; and grandson, Austin Buie.

She is loved by many! Son, Rick Buie (Sheila); daughter, Carla Buie; son, Jeff Campbell (Donna); stepsons, Keith Campbell (Sandy), Melvin Campbell (Lisa), and Dwayne Campbell; grandchildren, Ricky Buie, Ashley Buie, T.J. Buie, Katie McCann, Lindsey Buie, Jacob Campbell, Brian Campbell, Taylor Campbell, Bethany Campbell Statum, Misty Campbell Dugas, Justin Campbell and Eric Campbell;

great-grandchildren, Brendan Shearer, Grayson Buie, Avery McCann, Jaxon Buie and Lena Buie; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family!

Carlene had many she called her own, whether blood related or not. If she loved you, you knew it and you had better give her a hug!

She lived life to the fullest, loving life and making memories. She enjoyed shopping! She loved fishing, planting and growing plants and various flowers, Mandeville flowering vine was one of her favorites.

Let’s not leave out football! But more than all of that, she loved her family.
