Grubbs Family,

I have known Ms. Carmen for about 14 years. She was my dad's girlfriend. Rachel(her daughter) and I were attending the same school along with adapting to each other. Through the years I have grown to accept Carmen and her family. Carmen always had a caring heart and did whatever she could to put a smile on my dad's face as well as who they were around. The best funniest old memory I have and will cherish is, one school night Carmen went to tell Rachel and I good night and could not find us. She looked and looked. She then noticed that the fridge was opened, she looked over the fridge door and noticed Rachel and I eating her jar of green olives. We got in trouble. Oh the good times. I love you Carmen. Rest in Peace.

Carmen was always so nice to me. I was lucky enough to live next to her family when I was growing up. I spent lots of time in the Grubbs family home. Carmen was always kind and fun to be around. My sincere condolences go to her family. Especially her sweet mother, June; her sisters Karen and Gail; and her daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you❤️

Hey Karen & Gail, we were in school with you at Byram from January 1975- June 1978. My older sister Sharon and I are 4 & 1/2 years apart in age. I was in the second half of 2nd grade, 3rd,4th, & 5th grades there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families as you deal with the loss of Carmen! I do remember all of you though. !!

The one thing that stood out to me from Carmen’s life was her compassion. I watched her as she ministered to my dad when he was dying. She has taken care of my mother’s needs as she has aged. There’s no replacing Carmen.

Carmen, I remember you during school and even in your picture. You still carry that beautiful smile. We had alot of fun and laughs in school and this life will be missing a beautiful spirit.
