She was born August 1, 1951, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, a daughter of Carolyn Gilbert Braswell and the late Thurman Braswell.
Ann was a longtime member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Terry. She loved her church family and her fellow Sunday school members. Always ready to help in any way, her personal ministry was cooking for every church event.
In her free time Ann enjoyed being outdoors. She had a great appreciation for the beautiful world our Lord created and she lovingly tended to the flowers and plants of her yard.
Ann’s family was her greatest joy and she lived for the times she spent with them. Whether camping with the grandkids or her daily phone calls with her daughter, each moment was truly precious to Ann.
She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Braswell; daughter, Christy Burkes (Buddy); sister, Susan Johnson (Joe); brother, Wesley Braswell (Debbi); grandchildren, Anna and Alex Burkes; extended family including her nephew who was like a son, Todd Braswell (Lori); and her canine companion, Bonnie.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, James Kilpatrick; brother, Lamar Braswell; and niece, Carrie Franks.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Bethesda Baptist Church in Terry. Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm with interment in the church cemetery.
