As the daughter of a serviceman, Cassandra was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, on June 14, 1985, however, Meridian, Mississippi, was her hometown. Later she made her home in Pearl, Mississippi, with her husband and children. Cassandra was employed by Rick’s Pro Truck in Flowood as a controller.
Cassandra was best known for her effervescent personality and quick wit. She found great joy in making others smile and lifting their spirits. Her love for her family and friends was fierce and protective. Cassandra was the problem-solver, with the biggest heart for helping anyone she found in need.
From an early age Cassandra possessed an amazing interest in all things creative. In school she authored a book which was later published. A gifted artist, Cassandra enjoyed crafting in various mediums, often exploring new avenues of expression for her talent. From painting, to designing personalized tumblers and t-shirts, to making jewelry, Cassandra was visionary in executing her projects. Often referred to as a “MacGyver”, she was known to fix or style nearly anything you needed, many times from very little resource. But that was Cassandra’s nature- truly “all in, all the time.”
She is survived by her husband, Adam Peyton Moore; children, Kaitla and Dalton Moore; father, Ray McKay; mother, Mandy Taylor (Charles); sisters, Ashley Hurt (Sam), and Krysta McKay; brother, Cody McKay; niece, Lexi Hurt; nephews, Brunden Hurt, and Mason McKay; and many, many dear friends.
