A visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. A graveside service will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Masks will be required at the visitation as well as the graveside service.
He was born on August 1, 1958 to the late Charles Clinton Collins and Maxine Tyra Collins in Jackson, Mississippi. He served the Pearl Fire Department from 1984 to 1993. He then began working at the Mississippi State Fire Academy until his retirement in 2011. However, Greg still continued to serve, traversing the state as a travelling instructor. In his free time, he could be found fishing, hunting, having a good time over a game of cards, or catching his favorite shows on Grit TV. He was a Christian and family-oriented man.
He is survived by his endearing wife, Becky Collins; daughters, Amber Collins and Kim Logan (Adam); grandchildren, Canon Logan and Caden Logan; sister, Judy Powell (Tommy); mother-in-law, Ann Edwards (Pat); aunt, Betty Swanzy; sister-in-law, Donna Carr; brother-in-law, Mitch Carr; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Greg will be deeply missed by many.
