PEARL, MS
Mr. Clifton E. Bowie, 62, died July 9, 2011 at Hospice Ministries. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 Noon Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Metro East Church of Christ in Jackson with interment in Kilson Cemetery near Ludlow, MS. Visitation will be Friday from 3-5 PM at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl and Saturday from 11 AM – 12 Noon at the church.
Mr. Bowie was a retired employee of General Motors having worked in Flint, Michigan for 30 years and in Brandon for the past 10 years. He was a member of Metro East Church of Christ in Jackson and was a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Robyn F. Bowie of Pearl; sons, Derrick Bowie of Flint, MI and Clifton E. Bowie, Jr. of Flint, MI; father, Lonzo Bowie of Lena; step-daughters, Churnesia White and Chelsea Tunstall, both of Pearl; brothers, Milton Bowie and Randy “Runt” Bowie, both of Lena, MS; sisters, Nancy Grant of Lena and Linda Stewart of Midway; 12 grandchildren.
