He was born on November 5, 1948, in Passaic, New Jersey.
Craig spent his life in service to his country, those in Mississippi who were often shunned by others, and his family.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Coby Thompson and Cheney Thompson.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Letitia; children, Chad Thompson, Angel Jackson, and Precious Jones; grandchildren, Kailey Thompson, Caitlin Boney, Kendell Hopkins, Princeton Maberry, Emily Maberry, William Maberry, and Lilly Maberry.
