David Smith Bain

He was born February 19, 1949 to Douglas C. and Audrey Smith Bain. David graduated from Starkville High School, Class of 1967. Following high school, he attended and graduated from Wood Junior College in Mathiston, MS. Throughout his professional career, David worked at Mississippi Valley Gas, United Gas Pipeline and retired from University of Mississippi Medical Center. David was a member of Pinelake Church in Brandon. He loved camping and traveling. His happiest times were spent simply being with his friends and loved ones.

Preceding him in death are his father, Douglas C Bain and mother, Audrey Smith Bain.

David is survived by his devoted partner, Rhonda Simmons; son, Jason Bain (Maura); daughter, Lisa Rhodes (Justin); grandchildren, Addison Rhodes, Matthew Bain, Marley Kate Rhodes, Brody Rhodes, Eric Lopez (Samantha) and Miranda Holland(Reed); great grandchildren, Brooklynn Lopez and Baker Lopez; and brother, Douglas C. Bain, Jr. (Carlyn).

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
