Deborah’s life was marked by a steady and abiding faith. She was saved in November 1978, and for many years she worshipped at Calvary Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi, until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Her faith remained a guiding presence throughout her life, offering strength and comfort to those who knew and loved her.
Above all, Deborah was devoted to her family. She was a cherished mother to her two sons, Tommy Toler (Tonya) and William “Rusty” Toler (Emily), and a deeply loving grandmother to Austin Toler, Katherine “Kat” Toler, Angel Toler, and Landon O’Neal. Her love for her grandchildren was profound and enduring, and her care for them was one of the clearest expressions of who she was. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and by her beloved cat, Dora.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her granddaughter Gracie Toler, and her dog Suzi.
The yellow butterfly, which meant so much to her, will forever hold a special meaning for us, and will be a tender reminder of her gentle spirit, the precious memories she leaves behind, and the hope we find in God's promise of eternal life. Though our hearts grieve her earthly absence, we take comfort in knowing that she is resting in the loving arms of her Savior. And whenever a yellow butterfly graces our path, may we be reminded of her beautiful life, her enduring love, and the blessed hope of one day being reunited in Heaven.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, October 23, 2026, at The Pointe Church 1120 Star Rd Brandon, MS 39042 at 2:30pm. Bro. Jim Taylor will officiate.
