Dennis served in the Marines, a commitment that reflected a steady devotion to duty and an enduring thread in a life marked by loyalty and care for those around him.
In quieter moments, Dennis found enjoyment in hunting, tomato gardening, and settling in with the familiar comfort of the show Gunsmoke and a glass of chocolate milk where these simple pleasures brought him contentment and reflected the devoted way he approached the life he built and the people, he loved.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Clanton; his daughter, Lindsay Balkanloo (Jim); his sisters, Debra Upton (Craig), Diana Speed (John), and Dayna Peeler (Tom); and his grandchildren, Angus Balkanloo and Presley Layne Clanton.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Eupora, Mississippi, on June 19, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
