Dorothy L. Ray

She was born on October 4, 1935 in St. Louis, MO where she owned her own business, Dottie’s Grooming, as she was a professional dog groomer. Dorothy was a true Christian. Upon moving to Mississippi, she attended Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence with her daughter. She was dedicated to helping anyone she could. Dorothy was happy to give advice or even get down in the dirt with others to genuinely help them with their problems. Her beloved family will always remember her by her beautiful smile and as a loving homemaker that cared for them all.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Robert N. Ray, Sr.

She is surived by her children, Paul Schwendemann, Mary Castrale, Bob Ray, and Anita Ray, as well as number of precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

The family has decided to only have private arrangements, per Dorothy’s wishes.
