Edward was born April 10, 1939, in Mize, Mississippi, the son of the late Virgil and Olivia Welborn. On September 26, 1958, he married the love of his life Mrs. Linda Ann Case and was blessed with 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Edward spent much of his life working, hunting, and fishing with family and friends. He loved doing anything outdoors, raising a garden, especially tomatoes. Never one to sit still, Edward was constantly working on a project—whether building, fixing, or improving something. Above all, he especially loved sharing his adventures with his family.
Edward was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother whose life was rooted in love and family. He cherished every moment spent with those closest to him and made it his priority to nurture and support them. Through his dedication and hard work, he ensured his family was always cared for, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, strength, and unwavering love.
Edward enjoyed a long career in the trucking industry, working and retiring after 25 years from Frito Lay. Not one to sit still, he purchased Aluminum Gutter Company and enjoyed many years in business installing gutters on homes for area builders and homeowners all across the greater Metro area.
In addition to his parents Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mrs. Linda Welborn in 2023.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam May (Scott Farrar); sons, Stan Welborn (Stephanie) and Mike Welborn; grandchildren, Megan Welborn, Anna Katherine Vanlandingham (Danny), Brandon Welborn, Mackenzie Welborn, Lindsay Welborn, and Taylor Welborn; and great-grandchildren, Noah Battenfield and Harper Grace Vanlandingham.
