The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow afterwards at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Dewitt was born on August 18, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Esco Dewitt Seal, Sr and Allie Mae Williamson Seal. He was a proud Christian Southern Baptist man and served our country in the United States Marine Corps. A graduate of Hinds County Community College in Raymond, Dewitt studied industrial welding, pipefitting, and plumbing. He also served on the Rez, Magee, and Florence police forces, as well as the Pearl Police Department where he devoted over 20 years. In his free time, Dewitt was an avid gun lover and spent many quiet moments tending to his collection.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wesley Adam Seal.
Dewitt is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Seal; son, Gary "Wade" Seal (Michelle); sister, Rebecca Kelly Feyh; grandchildren, Joshua Seal (Lauren Greer) and Austin Seal; and great-grandchild, Avery Michelle Seal.
