Fairy B. Sims Dendy

Fairy Blaylock Dendy, 94, journeyed home to be with our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson, MS. Visitation will be today from 5 – 7pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 14th in the funeral home chapel at 1pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park at a later date.

Mrs. Dendy was born on August 19, 1916 in Deemer, Ms. to the late Zachary and Amanda Pearl Sims. She retired from Trustmark Bank in 1981, and was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Pearl, MS. She taught Sunday School and served in the Women’s Missionary Union for 41 years. She loved being with her family, gardening, caring generously for others, and serving our Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Dendy and her daughter, Carolyn Blaylock Sively.

She is survived by two children, James Hugh Blaylock, Jr. and his wife, Violet of Seminary, Ms; and Jeannine Blaylock May and her husband, Ronnie of Brandon, MS; granddaughters, Andrea Blaylock of Houston, Tx., Nicole May of Brandon, Ms., Amy Blaylock Braun and her husband, Aaron of Brooklyn, NY; 3 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great grandchildren, and one sister, Marjorie Sims of Philadelphia, MS.
