Frances Knauff Rushing

Frances Knauff Rushing passed quietly December 25, 2018; she was 80 years old. She was preceded in death by her mother (Pauline Rushing), her father (Francis Knauff), her stepfather (T.L. Rushing), her sister (Helen Cokeroft) and stepsister (Roxana Porter). She lived her life and ended her days at her home in Pelahatchie, MS with her chosen family, Dorris McNeil, Michael Sumrall, Curt Sumrall, Kelly Sumrall and Mark McNeil; while she had no biological children, the loves of her life were her “doggies” and “kitties” that surrounded her until the end.

Frances was survived by her niece, Margene Secor, her nephew, Bruce Cokeroft, and her stepsisters, Pam Rushing Kittrell Brooks, and Sue Rushing Hoadley. A visitation will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS between 10am and 12pm Friday, December 28th, 2018; a grave side service will follow immediately at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

It is the family’s request that, in a lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League; an organization that Frances believed in, worked in, and loved for many, many years.
