Gail lived many places, but was a long time resident of Clinton, MS. Growing up, Gail loved horses and became a state champion barrel racer. After graduating from Utica High School, where she ran track and played basketball, Gail attended Mississippi College in Clinton. She became a CPA, working for the Internal Revenue Service, Whitfield State Hospital, and Pratt Industries, among others. As an adult, she became a Karate Grand Champion.
No stranger to hard times, Gail was fiercely independent and self reliant. She managed to pull herself up by her bootstraps time and again. All the while, she would give you the shirt off her back or the food off her plate because she could not eat while someone else went hungry. She was and will remain much loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sherry Elqadi.
She is survived by her four children: Erica (Josh) Broome of Clinton, MS; Amy (Jonathan) Hawkins of Atlanta, GA; Josh (Brooke) Clark of Flora, MS; and Dustin (Lyndsey) Clark of Clinton, MS. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
