He was born on December 4, 1945 to the late George Lester Holden, Sr. and Marion Delcina Rose Holden in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Mr. Holden served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was bestowed the honorable Purple Heart Metal. He was a patriotic man who was extremely proud of his country. Mr. Holden was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland. He loved his family more than anything. He especially adored his grandkids. He would never miss one of their soccer games, and they would never miss an opportunity to listen to one of his lively stories from his service in the military.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kathy Holden; son, “Chip” George Lester Holden, III; grandchildren, Arrington Holden Coggins (John), Chance Holden (Taylor), Garrett Holden (Rheagen), Mallory Holden (Myles), Ally Peterson Bates (Justin), and Cage Peterson; great-grandchild, John Asher Bates; stepmother, Angelina Holden; siblings, Jeanie Gildea, Wendy Russell, Jaquelin Holden, Pamela Marks, Charles Holden, and Gina Carter; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Mr. Holden will be deeply missed.
