Harold was born on August 29, 1937, in Yazoo County, MS, to Fonville Hancock and Mittie Sanders Hancock. He was a graduate of Satartia High School, Class of 1955.
For 40 years, Harold was the co-owner and operator/mechanic of Hancock and McLemore Automotive where he was known for his honesty, dedication, and strong work ethic.
After retiring in 1999, he enjoyed fishing, yard work, traveling, and making memories with his grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
Harold was a faithful attendee of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church where he found many special friendships and enjoyed worshiping with family and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fonville and Mittie Sanders Hancock; his wife of 36 years, Kathryn Brewer Hancock; his son, Harold Herbert Hancock, Jr.; his grandson, Tripp Hancock; his sisters, Vera Hancock Williams and Martha Hancock Warrington; and his brother, Phillip Houston Hancock.
Harold is survived by his wife of 30 years, Glenda Flowers Hancock; his sons, Randy Hancock (Tracy) and Brooks Little (Kristen); daughter, Ginger Griffith (Charlie); his granddaughters, Rachel Hancock, Samantha Hancock, Sarah Hancock, Mary Claire Griffith, Kamryn Little, and Kori Cate Little; his grandsons, Dace Hancock, Joshua Hancock, Jared McGee, Reice Griffith, and Mason Little; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Harold will be remembered for his gentle and kind spirit, his unwavering love for family and friends, his wisdom, and the example he set through a life of faith and hard work. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.
Pallbearers will be Reice Griffith, Mason Little, Dace Hancock, Joshua Hancock, and Jarrod McGee.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 2:00pm, Monday, December 15, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home (Pearl, MS) with a Celebration of Life service at 2:00pm. Interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park (Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS).
