Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 1:00pm Friday, April 29, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Armstrong was born May 31, 1920 in Hazlehurst, a daughter of the late James Carlisle and Georgia Magee Carlisle. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pearl. She and her late husband, Charles A. Armstrong, owned and operated Armstrong Truck Stop & Café on old Hwy 49 South. She was also employed by Doctor’s Hospital for many years.
In recent years she was a resident of Copiah Living Center in Crystal Springs, where she was happy and loved by all.
Survivors include brother, Herbert E. Carlisle of Hazlehurst; sister, Nell C. Chaney of Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Armstrong loved her family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
