She was born December 9, 1925, in Nova Scotia, Canada, a daughter of the late Stephen Ford and Eunice Mullen Ford. She moved to the United States in 1951 as the governess for a family in New York.

Survivors include her son, Craig Shofstall; daughter-in-law, Lisa Shofstall; and grandsons, Adam Shofstall, Richard Shofstall, Bailey Shofstall, and Noah Shofstall.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clinton.

Mrs. Shofstall will be laid to rest beside her husband, Louis Wetzel Shofstall, in Biloxi National Cemetery.
