With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Clay King, Jr., who left this world peacefully on July 5, 2025, just days shy of his 76th birthday. Born on July 10, 1949, Henry lived a life defined by love, resilience, and devotion to those he held most dear.
A proud family man, Henry’s greatest joy was found in the company of his children and grandchildren. He was a constant source of wisdom, humor, and unconditional love to those around him. His gentle spirit and steadfast heart will be missed beyond measure.
Henry had a lifelong passion for NASCAR and baseball, never missing a race or a game when he could help it. His enthusiasm was contagious and his loyalty to his favorite teams unwavering.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jerrye King; his son, Thomas King; his father, Henry King, and mother, Annie Spurlock; and his sister, Loretta Wilkerson. Though he carried the weight of those losses, Henry’s strength never wavered, and his love endured.
Henry leaves behind a legacy of family and love. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Myers and Jennifer King, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Christopher Myers, Kayla Myers, Ashlyn Wixson, Jacob Reis, Brandon Myers, and Anna Wixson — each of whom brought him endless pride and joy. Henry is also survived by his sister, Rachel Cook.
Henry’s memory will live on in every laugh shared, every engine revved, and every ball game watched in his honor. He taught us what it means to show up, to stay strong, and to love without limits.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, July 7, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the funeral home with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
