Imel Vanderford, age 87, of Pearl, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow visitation that same day at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place afterwards at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Imel's love that she gave her family will be remembered forever. She was an incredibly beloved mother, grandmother great-grandmother and aunt. She was a devout Christian and would always point her finger up and say "Thank you, Jesus".
She is preceded in death by her father Henry Wade Beavers, her mother Audell Styron Beavers, her brothers Wayne Beavers and Henry Wade Beavers Jr., and her sisters Mary Nell Parker, Henrietta Hickman and Clemmie Porter.
She is survived by her children, Mike Vanderford (Sheila), Johnny Vanderford (Mary), Donna Williams (Eddie), Jerry Vanderford (Lisa) and Kelvin Vanderford, grandchildren, Diamond Sanders, Kruze Vanderford, Walter Johnson, Nicole Simpson, Mollie Hernandez, Lauren Norton, Kristen Lewis, Somer Holloway and Morgan Sullivan, as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other beloved extended family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caretakers at Mississippi Care Center of Morton and Merit Health Rankin Hospital.
Serving as active pallbearers are Mike Vanderford, Eddie Williams, Marcos Hernandez, Chayce Norton, Kyler Vanderford, Austin Simpson, Walter Johnson and Jacob Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Johnson and Jacob Johnson.
