Inez Fabre Ervin

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, July 7, 2014 in the Bear Creek Methodist Church Cemetery in Bear Creek, near Utica.

Mrs. Ervin was born Sunday, December 3, 1916 in Gretna, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Manuel Honore Fabre and Eve Edna Minnich Fabre.

She retired as an accountant from the McRae’s Corporation in 1989 at the age of 73. She was an avid supporter of education and was fluent in French. A true History buff, she enjoyed researching family genealogy. A talented seamstress, she was gifted with the ability to re-create garments she saw in fashion stores. Other hobbies included arts and crafts and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Regan Ervin, Sr., in 1996.

Survivors include son, Kenneth R. Ervin, Jr.; daughter, Sandra Ervin Dean; grandchildren, Susan Ming, Bonnie Burgoyne and Shelly Burt; great-grandchildren, Danny Clayton, Heather Clayton and Brandy English; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
