Born November 10, 1928 in London, England, in 1940 she was evacuated along with thousands of other children to the northern countryside of England to escape the German bombing of London. She met her husband, Norman, back in London when she was 15. After he completed his service in the British Army, they were married in 1952. They moved to Canada in 1953, then to Jackson, Mississippi in 1954. They moved to Pearl in 1961 where they remain to this day. She was a volunteer at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood for 24 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Frost and her sister, Doris Grant.
Iris is survived by her husband of 72 years, Norman; son, Michael (Susan); granddaughter, Brittany Owen (Michael); grandson, Colby Wallace (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Landon and Mason Owen and Adleigh and Cade Wallace; nieces, Jo-Ann King (Thomas) and Carolyn White; and several other beloved extended family members.
The family would like to give a special thanks to nurse Taylor Boyd whose devotion to her profession was beyond reproach and also to Ms. Nina Lee whose friendship was precious.
