James Harland Anderson

James Anderson, 87, left his earthly home on January 6, 2026. Visitation will be on January 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 am at the chapel of Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.

Mr. Anderson was born on December 27, 1938, in Oak Grove, LA, to Atlas and Alma Anderson. He was a member of Skyway Hills Baptist Church and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patsy Anderson, of 51 years.

Survivors include his son, Jimmy Anderson, and wife Lynn of Madison, daughter Dianne Wade and husband Vernon of Brandon, and daughter Janet Byrd and husband Wayne of Hattiesburg. Also included are two brothers, Tom Anderson and wife Ann of Oak Grove, LA, Jerry Anderson and wife Linda of Monroe, LA, and sister, Shirley Loe and husband Arnold of West Monroe, LA. Grandchildren include Daniel Wade (Sarah), Brandi Gant (Chase), Keith Anderson (Anna), Krista Scoggins (Tyler), Hayley Williamson (Zach), and Katie Croisdale (Michael). He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Andrew Wade, Austin Gant, Wade Gant, Grafton Anderson, Beau Anderson, Liam Scoggins, Saylor Scoggins, Anderson Williamson, and Campbell Croisdale.
