James Irving Deason

James Irving Deason, 79, of Pearl, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Mr. Deason was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith and a firm believer in our Lord, Jesus Christ. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot, and later served with the Air National Guard. He enjoyed a lengthy career in automobile sales and management with Blackwell Chevrolet and Fowler Buick. Mr. Deason was a gifted singer and musician and played guitar for many years. In his free time he liked visiting with his friends and neighbors and was a respected member of the neighborhood community where he resided.

Survivors include his half-sisters, Donna Collins, and Rita Warnock; and the love of his life, Glenda F. Williams; her daughters, Teresa Hays, and Tracie Walls; grandchildren, Miranda Wansley, Jill Pritchard, Cody Hays, Heather Lee, and Blake Walls; 7 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Lamar Deason and Lurline Milner Deason; brothers, Calvin Pegram, Willis Lamar Deason, Jr., and William D. Pegram; and his beloved dog, Bubba.
