Mr. Dosset and I worked together for many years. He was such a wonderful friend. I had the pleasure to manage the boxplant in Pearl and could always count on Jim’s leadership and support. He always knew when a good laugh was needed. It really made me happy when he got more involved with the church and became a great witness for the Lord. He was certainly ‘one of a kind’ brother. My mother so enjoyed knowing and visiting with Mr. Dossett during her workouts at the Baptist Healthplex.  He was an important member of the sociable group of Healthplex regulars, and his friendliness and witty conversation will be missed very much.

Bertha we are so sorry for your our loss. i know he is at rest and not suffering no more. But i miss our time we talked and the times he exercised with charles.and kept his eye on  him.we treasure all our memories.

Mr. James provided alot of good memories for my husband who shared them with me through the years. He was a wise man. And will be missed by many I am sure. My husband worked with Mr. James at Weyerhaueser for many many years and he was a great supervisor. May our Lord provide the comfort that comes from him alone.

This is a loss felt far and wide indeed! James is a muched loved man. He will be missed in so many ways, for so many great qualities: For the fascinating stories of the people, places and enterprises all across this land; For the straight-forward, insightful advice; For the generous spirit, always ready and willing to offer whatever aid he could, from encouragement in times of self-doubt, to loving support through difficulties, to no-nonsense suggestions-he was always there; For that sly wit and humor and the ornery, squint-eyed giggle that frequently accompanied it; and for many other endearing traits, James(daddy) we miss you.
For Bo and me this website has been a blessing, as our geographic distance separates us from family during this sensitive time. I know it has helped Bo to feel more connected to the family, and more a part of the services, since he is unable to make the long journey again so quickly. Appreciation goes to Balwin-Lee for this helpful resource.

James was a great friend in the short time I have known him.  We worked out together at the Baptist Healthplex in Jackson and shared a lot of stories.  James hated to have to carry his oxygen with him and said people should never smoke because it will catch up with you.  He was a true and firm believer in Jesus Christ and loved to go to his church and worship.  We talked a lot about worship experiences and what God can do in our lives.  I will miss his witty smile and his strength of character plus he was just one of the guys. Rest in peace my friend.
