He was born Friday, May 28, 1948 in Lexington, Mississippi, a son of the late Thomas Dudley McLean and Ola Bell Jones McLean. Hoot was a veteran of the U.S. Army and an avid outdoorsman. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and catching wild hogs.
Survivors include son, Todd McLean and wife JoDee; brothers, Tommy McLean and Eddie McLean; sister, Frances Lee Ross; and grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter McLean.
