December 24, 1930 – November 18, 2020
Jean Lundy Gill, 89, of Pearl, departed from this life and gained her wings on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Mrs. Gill was known affectionately to many as "Granny". She loved unconditionally, and she spent her entire life serving both her family and friends, as well as the Lord.
After graduating high school, she moved to Jackson, Mississippi and met her husband, Odis (Red) Gill, Sr. They were married on January 22, 1950. Together, with Red, they owned Red Gill's Garage in Pearl for over 40 years.
One never entered Granny's home and was not greeted with coffee, food, or anything else she deemed needed. Her recipes were of chef magnitude and were enjoyed by all who partook for years.
Granny loved her family more than anything else in this world, and she also had a great love for many, many friends in her lifetime.
She was a true servant of Jesus, her Savior.
Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her husband, Red Gill; her son, Odis Gill, Jr.; and her son-in-law, Roger Parham.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Parham; her daughter-in-law, Laura Gill; her five grandchildren, Dale Parham, Amber Parham Morgan (Kem), Shelby Puderer (Eric), Gavin Gill (Heather), Lacy Ward (Clay); and her nine great-grandchildren, Baylee Cole, Lanah Yates, Damon Yates, Mason Yates, Anna Grace Gill, Aden Gill, Aubrey Ward, Macy Ward, and Layton Ward.
The family will hold private services due to rising COVID cases.

Too many great memories to count. We had such wonderful times at Panola. Jean always had a smile that could light up the world and love for all she met.
We will forever have her in our prayers and in our hearts.

I will always cherish her hugs when I delivered her lunch. Such a sweet, precious lady that I had the privilege to love.
