Jean Latham Kirby

Jean Latham Kirby of Pearl, MS passed away on March 3, 2018.

Jean was born in Morton, MS on January 1, 1946, to Clotine and Rex Latham. She attended Pearl High School and Millsaps College, and was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Jackson.

Jean married Dean Kirby and they were happily married for 52 years. Together they had three children, Tara McDaniel, Chris Kirby, and Tina Parker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her husband, Dean; children, Tara McDaniel (Allen), Chris Kirby, and Tina Parker; sister, Shelby Hopkins (Dave); grandchildren, Cloe McDaniel, Ford McDaniel, Max Kirby, Fisher Kirby, Madeline Parker , and Kirby Parker (Sara).

Visitation for Jean will be Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl and on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Jackson, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.

Dean & family- so sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. I wanted you to know I am thinking & praying for you all. I remember Jean as a dear sweet neighbor. Always smiling & yes she was a great mother to Tara, Tina & Chris. My daughter, Chele loved going to your house to play. We have fond memories of our times with you all. I lost Bob 8yrs ago. I live in Gainesville FL, close to Chele & her husband & my grandson. God bless you all as you grieve. I will be praying for you.
