Jeremiah Mark Byars

Jeremiah "Mark" Byars, 38, passed away at his home in Pearl, MS on Thursday January 12, 2023. He was born March 29, 1984 in Grenada, MS and lived in Pearl most of his life. He was an honor graduate of Pearl High School, where he was active in the band. He had an associates degree from Hinds Community College. At the time of his death, he was employed by Rogers Dabbs Chevrolet, as a Sales Professional, where he was often recognized as "Salesman of the Month". He was a member of McLaurin Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Gabriel Neal and Holden Grace of Pearl, Father, Terry Byars of Pearl, Mother Janet Moore of Pearl, Sister Stefanie Chamblee (Kent) of Carthage, Brother Daniel Byars (Kristen) of Eufala, Ok, his paternal Grandmother Vivian Bankston of Pearl and his former wife, the mother of his precious children, Janell Fowler Byars of Pearl. He is also survived by scores of loving family & friends who will treasure his memory and miss him terribly. He was preceded in death by his maternal Grandparents Joyce and Wayne Gorman, his paternal Grandfather Leroy Byars, and his Paternal Great-grandparents Woodrow and Era Mae Howard. Mark loved hot rods and drag racing. He hated Fords. But his greatest joy was his children...and his favorite thing to do was to spend time with them. Visitation for Mark will be Thursday, January 19, 2023, 5-7 PM at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. There will be a second visitation Friday January 20, 2023 from 1-2 PM with the service at 2 PM at Leflore Baptist Church, Holcomb, MS. with burial in the church cemetery. The service will be officiated by Pastor Miles Raney, Bro. Blake Henson and Bro. Nathan Gorman. Pallbearers will be Kent Chamblee, Steve Shelton, Anthony Henson, Drew Henson, Victor Goodwin and Brian Fowler.
