Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Monday, March 17, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 4:00pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
He was born Sunday, April 19, 1936 in McComb, Mississippi, a son of the late James Fredrick Powell and Edis Hardy Powell. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired in early 2014 from Blackburn Dental Lab after more than 39 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Powell.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Powell; daughter, Jena Wood and husband Greg; grandchildren, Cameron, Jeremy and Brittany Wood; and brother, Tommy Powell.
