OBITUARY

Jesse C Dickinson

January 18, 1931March 17, 2020

Jesse C. Dickinson, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital, Jackson.

He was born January 18, 1931, in Crandall, Mississippi, the only child of Lee Dickinson and Eliza Bankston Dickinson. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army.

Mr. Dickinson possessed an innate drive to work hard and stay active- a trait he instilled in his family. His early career was as a chemical engineer, followed by a lengthy vocation as a financial advisor and planner. Mr. Dickinson’s instinct to keep busy was strong, and he did not entertain the idea of retirement until after the age of 80.

In his free time he could be found working around his house and yard. Mr. Dickinson took pride in his home, and enjoyed many hours outdoors making improvements. He also had a true appreciation for gospel quartet music, and amassed quite a collection of recordings.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Maude Dickinson; daughter, Daphne Couturier and husband David; son, David Dickinson; grandchildren, Nathan Makino and wife Betty, Amanda Reihl and husband Alex, and Kristin Couturier; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Alexis Reihl; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00pm, Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Graveside services are 10:00am, Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Rushton Cemetery in Jones County.
