

Born in Georgetown on December 23, 1940, Jimmie served 6 years in the U.S. Navy (stationed in Key West, Florida aboard the USS FDR). He was married to Charlotte for 53 years and founded Midway Heating, Cooling and Appliance Repair more than 40 years ago. He serviced thousands of homes in the Jackson area, always making conversation and lasting friendships. As president of the Pearl River Bass Club, Jimmie told more than one fish tale and most were true.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Vance Berry and their three sons, Russell, Chris and Michael; his daughter-in-laws and grandchildren are Lenora, Lydia and Russell, Jr., Jennifer, Carter, Sloan, Nicole and Victoria. Other family members include Willie Vance, Ruby Strawder, Larry, Connie and Chelsey Vance, Jared Shore, Katy and Roger Womack, James and Darlene Berry, Bobby and Sharon Berry and Linda Berry.
Jimmie was our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. We will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30am in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
