Jimmy was born January 1, 1949, in Meridian, Mississippi.
Jimmy life was one of devotion- to his Lord, his family, and to others. When asked his religion Jimmy often stated simply, “I’m a Godly man who loves Jesus Christ”, and his Bible was never far from his reach. He worked for more than 30 years as a truck driver, always loyal to his employers and to the people for whom he was delivering needed goods. And Jimmy was a hero to his daughters, unfailingly providing for them in every way a father can.
Jimmy’s kind spirit and generous, friendly qualities endeared him to others, and he became a friend many. Always quick with a joke Jimmy loved to laugh.
In his free time Jimmy enjoyed Saints and Mississippi State sports, and he was an avid fisherman. Some of his daughters’ favorite memories are fishing trips with their dad.
