Mr. James "Jimmy" Whitehead, 76, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 5-7 pm at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10 am in the Baldwin Lee Chapel with interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
Mr. Whitehead was a salesman for East Ford for 32 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and National President of New Beginnings Motorcycle Club. He played in several bands over the past 60 years and most recently with the Good-Timers Band.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard L. and Ella Rea Whitehead; and his son,Michael.
Mr. Whitehead is survived by his wife, Margaret Whitehead; sons, James L. Whitehead, Jr.(Rachel) and David Whitehead (Stacey);
daughters, Vanessa Whitehead and Dee Ann Zimmer (Jim); step-son, Brian Anderson (Misty); step-daughter, Donna Wilson; and sister, Vicki Chunn and eight grandchildren.
