A Celebration of Remembrance will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
John was born March 29, 1947, in Greenville, Mississippi, to the late James Archie Wilson and Mary Jane Wilson. The youngest of twins, John was full of mischief as a child, and he and his brother were quite the handful for their mother.
John served as a director in the food service industry for more than 30 years. His career took him to many locations and John reveled in the new experiences. An avid golfer he especially enjoyed the opportunity to play a new course, and his travels enabled him to visit many of the top ranked courses. Among his favorites was the World Golf Course and Village in Florida.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Wilson, and son, John A. "Jay" Wilson, Jr.
Survivors include son, James A. "Jim" Wilson; brother, Jimmy Wilson; grandchildren, Mazi, Michael, Trey and Cody Wilson; nephew, James A. "Andy" Wilson, Jr.; and nieces, Christie Smith, and Valerie Dendy.
