Johnny was born January 24, 1969 in Jackson. Having a playful personality, he turned everything into a game - amusing friends and family with his quick wit and pursuit of fun, including trips to the casino. Johnny worked hard as a commercial insulator, and played hard too. Four-wheeling and mud-riding were some of his favorite pastimes. He had an infectious smile and laugh. He loved being around laughter and grilling for his friends with beer in hand. He especially enjoyed the St. Patty's Day parade. He had an ear for immediately recognizing a song on the radio before anyone else. He only sang karaoke once, but won the competition with "Devil Went Down to Georgia."
Johnny was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Tom and Juanita Stingley (Big Daddy and Sweet), his uncle, Michael Stingley (Brillo) and his paternal grandfather John Paul Wilson, Sr.
He is survived by his Mother and step father, Debbie and Tom Edwards, Father, John Paul Wilson, Jr. (Nancy), Sister Jenna Edwards-Crabalona , brothers Clayton Wilson and Thomas Edwards, son Justin Wilson, several cousins, nieces and nephews . Johnny will be missed and was dear to the heart of many people whom he loved as family; his recent love, Ramona; Dylan Bruce whom Johnny loved as a son and Shane Stingley whom he loved as a brother along with many friends that were very special to him.
A special thanks to his soulmate who for many years deeply loved and supported him and saw him through difficult times. In the words of Charlie Daniels, "My name's Johnny and it might be a sin, but I'll take your bet and you're gonna regret 'cause I'm the best there's ever been."
