September 22, 1959 - August 17, 2023
Joni Burkett Keller, of Brandon, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord, in Heaven, on August 17, 2023. She passed peacefully at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Joni was born on September 22, 1959, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late E.J. Keller and the late Joan Burkett Keller.
She is survived by daughters, Whitney VanGorder (Brandon), MacKenzie Welborn, and her beloved calico cat, Mae Mobley. She is also survived by grandchildren, Hayes, Holdyn, Delta Blake & Addalyn; sister, Tracy Keller Wilson (George), niece, Megan Wardle, and great nephews and nieces, Xander & Lily.
She also leaves behind many family and friends who loved and cherished their memories together.
Joni retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation in the year 2021. She was a long time Ole Miss fan and loved to travel. She was also a wonderful Gammie to four beautiful grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church with interment in the Oakdale Cemetery.
