Joyce Williams Edmondson

Visitation will be 9:30-11:00am, Friday, May 27, 2016, at McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Joyce was born Wednesday, July 24, 1935, in Eupora. She was a 1953 graduate of Clarksdale High School and attended Speedwriting Business School of Memphis.

Joyce worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for the Clarksdale Press Register for 23 years. She then served as bookkeeper and salesperson for Farm Press Publications for 19 years, as well as a cookbook editor for several years. She was a faithful member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl where she sang in the choir. Joyce was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was active in many Pearl, Brandon and Richland Senior groups.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Edmondson, Sr., and brother, Mac T. Williams.

Survivors include son, Carlton W. Edmondson, Jr. and wife Shirley; daughter Nancy Welch and husband Jack; and grandchildren, Trey Edmondson and wife Heather, and Brad Edmondson and fiancée Tiffany Miller.
