

Julia was so much to so many. A beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and cousin to her family. A respected colleague to her co-workers. A dear friend to her circle of pals. And often a kind and helping hand to strangers.
Julia dedicated her life to service to others and she did so willingly and joyfully. She cherished her family, was a devoted mother to her children and was an opted mom” for many of their friends. She valued her relationships with the clients she served throughout her more than 20 year career with Trustmark Bank. She prized her friendships and she respected and assisted anyone she knew of in need, often providing aid to people she had never met but felt she could help.
In her free time Julia enjoyed cooking for family and friends, collecting antiques, and cheering on her favorite Mississippi State football- GO DAWGS!
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ray Dobbs; daughter Rachel Dobbs Hof (David); son, Steven Dobbs (Brianne); grandchildren, Ethan Powell, Julia Powell, Drake Hof, Mason Hof, Landry Dobbs, and Caroline Dobbs; sisters, Sandra Georgen (Mike), Jamie Collett, and Patricia Hendricks; nieces and nephews, Tim Jenkins, Becky Tucker, Dustin Georgen, Matthew Georgen, Derrick Collett, Lee Kittrell, Shelley Bagby, and D.J. McMahon; half-sister, Angela Morgan (Ricky) and daughters Kristin Anderton and Lexus Ray; mother-in-law, Bettye Watkins-Dobbs; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Dobbs (Ferral McCormick), Dennis Feldman and children Tyler and Brittany; sisters-in-law, Judy Gibbs and children Shannon and Shaun Gibbs; best friend, Nancy Day; and a host of special cousins and friends.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, James Taylor Wood; and Earlene Crouch Wood Farmer and Bill Farmer; and nephew, Clifford Hendricks.
Her family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 3:00pm, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Celebration of Life Services will follow at 3:00pm. Officiating will be Rev. Travis Watkins, her uncle by marriage.
