Junell Dean

She was a dedicated employee of Southern Farm Bureau Insurance for more than 30 years. A devoted Tennessee Volunteers fan, she proudly supported the Vols in every sport—baseball, football, basketball, it didn’t matter; if they were wearing orange, she was cheering them on. In her free time, she found joy in baking cookies to share with family and friends, always happy to make something sweet for those she loved. She was also a devoted cat lover and treasured her feline companions throughout the years, especially her beloved current feline companion, Samantha.

Junell was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Douglas Dean and Armanell Dodd Dean; sister, Frances Darlene Carter; and beloved cat, Sheldon Lee Cooper.

She is survived by her fiancée, David Miklautsch; brother and sister-in-law, Sammy and Jana Dean; brother-in-law, Scott Carter; niece, Jessica Dean; nephew, Matt Carter; one great-niece and one great-nephew.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 3:00pm, Friday, October 2, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl.
