Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
She was born March 6, 1931, in Meridian, a daughter of the late Glover H. McElroy and Katherine Lula Hawkins McElroy. Mrs. Rein was a member of the Baptist faith. She retired from Rankin General Hospital/Merit Health Rankin in Brandon after several years as a dietician.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Rein, Sr.
Survivors include son, John R. Rein, Jr. and wife Yvonne; daughter, Cathy Magee and husband Larry; grandchildren, Brent Opdyke, Tricia Opdyke, Jill Keys, Trey Rein, Edward Magee, and Michael Magee; and several great-grandchildren.
