Kenneth F. Johnson

October 6, 1939April 2, 2021

Kenneth F. Johnson, 81, of Brandon, passed from this life Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson.

Kenny was born October 6, 1939, in Brockton, Massachusetts, a son of the late Harold F. Johnson and Marguerite Cleverly Johnson.

He enjoyed a lengthy career with the Ironworks Local 7 of Boston, where he was an AWS certified ironworker/welder, and was highly respected in his field. Kenny played an integral role in constructing several buildings and structures throughout Boston and the surrounding areas.

In his free time Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking his boat out, and working on cars. He purchased his family’s first home computer in 1994 and quickly became an avid fan of computer games.

Kenny was a “people person” and liked talking and visiting with people from all walks of life. His innate ability to communicate with others on a personal level and his willingness to help anyone in need endeared him to many.

Kenny’s favorite times were simply spent with his family, especially his precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth C. Johnson, and sister, Carol Butler.

Survivors include his wife of almost 64 years, Priscilla Stiles Johnson; son, Stephen D. Johnson and wife Gail; daughters, Virginia Hanley, Patricia Dvojack and husband John, and Cynthia Shepherd and husband Douglas; brother, Ernest Johnson and wife Rosemary; grandchildren, Alyssa Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Stephen A. Johnson and wife Ashley, Katie Gay and husband David, Eric Johnson, Christopher Menard and wife Sabrina, Matthew Menard, Casey Dvojack, Cody Dvojack, Ryann Shepherd and wife Sarah, Brandon Shepherd, and Briana Shepherd; great-grandchildren Cali St. Pierre, Jillian Johnson, and Elsie Johnson; and cousin, Janice Sheehan and husband Joseph.

We are so sad to hear of the passing of Kenny we have so many good memories of him and Priscilla visiting us in Vermont on our
property and when we started building our home and the visits to both of them when they moved to Florida from Taunton, Mass.
and especially their daughter Trisha who we were very fond of and still are. We send our deepest Sympathy to the whole Johnson Family for their loss.
