Lavaye Tew Steed

She was born in Neshoba County, MS on May 13, 1933 to Luther and Clarsey Comans Tew.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her hobbies were gardening, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

She was a retired nurse that was very proud of her career at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

She leaves behind her son, Dennis; daughter, Susan; grandsons, Lesley and Dennis (Stephanie); granddaughter, Daphne (Douglas); great-grandsons, Taylor (Sophia), Brandon (Paige), Connor, Coleson, and Easton; great-granddaughters, Abbey (Caleb), Chloe (Christian), and Caitlyn; great-great-granddaughter, Margot; great-great-grandsons, Archie and Wyatt; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edison Eugene Steed; her son, Edison Eugene Steed, Jr. (Nancy); and her siblings, Emmett, Jackie, and Ruthie.

She will be cremated and laid to rest aside her husband, parents, and family at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, located in Pearl, MS.
